Howdy All,

Revisiting some "Color" images from Evora Portugal.

A really interesting and bustling city.

One of the stranger things about Evora is the Franciscan chapel decorated with human bones :D

    Don

    Howdy Don,

Thanks very much, it was really a neat place and town.

I'd love to have had a couple more days there, just really an
interesting Town Square and lots of beautiful things to see and
    shoot.

Evora is more well know for it's Roman Pillars that are still standing, so
hard to believe all the History and stories.
    Take care,

Hi Craig....That must have been a macabre scene when that was under construction.
You have seen some really interesting places in your life.

    Nice series, Craig........thumb.gif

    Howdy Gary,

It was really a surreal place, hard to believe what our eyes were
    taking in.

Hopefully, many, many, many more adventures to come :D:D:D

Oh my...bones... I was looking at the photos without reading what you had written. I couldn't figure out what I thought were rocks. Then I had to go back and read what you wrote. Why bones? Who's bones? There's even a skull in the pillar. Craig....this is a church? More info please :D

Nice series...still getting over the geebies on the bones tho.

    Interesting set Craig. :D
Never have understood the use of human bones in this way. And I have
never bothered to look into into it. Maybe its time. headscratch.gif
Seems to me theres a shot or two missing from the potential of pictures
to be taken from inside Capela dos Ossos. Or are you just not showing
any close ups of any sort?
Evora appears to be a neat place to visit and grab a tasty bite to eat.

I may be mistaken, but I think you find similar places in Rome ( in the underground crypts) and maybe even in Paris.

    Howdy Michael,

    Thanks!!

It was kind of an interesting read, about why the it was made and the reasoning of the Priest.

Had the 10-20 on in there, and tried to get more of an overall feel and look.

It was close enough for me:D:D:D

    Don

    Howdy Don,

I think you're right about that, and in those places I think it was more of
a "Storage" issue, of not having enough ground to bury all the people since they were founded early and had so many different plagues and wars.

No need to get in touch with inevitability just yet?
Life is transitory... ok... I can live with that. For now mwink.gif
I know you've seen that picture where the fellow fires over the sand
bags without looking where things are going. Just saying.
