Looking for photo-ops around Cassel, CA! Suggestions?

My girlfriend and I will be down in the Cassel, CA area the rest of this week, and I was hoping for some suggestions from any DGrinners in Northern Cali regarding photo-ops that would be within an hour or so of there!

Looking at a Google Map of the area it seems there are numerous State Parks, but I was hoping for some suggestions on specific locations or sights that we should checkout while we are there.

    Well you have Lassen National Park, Burney Falls State Park ,both of those could fill up up quite a bit of time.

    Ok, thanks for the heads up! Any specifics at either of those? (other than the falls at Burney Falls, obviously! :-P )

    I've only been up that way a couple of times but Mossbrae Falls near Dunsmuir is definitely worth a look.

    I always believe that there's lots of stuff to see in the Shasta area, though I think there are other Dgrinners better versed on where they are. thumb.gif
