Okay, so I've watched these challenges for several rounds, and have provided my creative input on many of the pics my husband has entered....I've finally gotten up my nerve to participate from behind the camera rather than in front of it this time...C&C is welcome...

Very nice. I really like the the 5th one & then the 2nd one - the mood & color tone on both. Also like that you can see a bit of her face - it helps me to connect with the shot. Also, it's easier to comment on them if you number the shots :)

Excellent work! I like #5 best. I like the angle and her pose.

That wall has really great texture in #2 and the last 2.

#5 for me too. I like the light and the texture and a bit of her face showing. I'm not crazy about hiding behind her hair, tho.

Welcome to the Challenges! I hope to see more of your work here!

Looks like there are a few of us trying this for the first time! :D

These are a great idea and well shot. I like 5 best too, although I find the one dark area in the out-of-focus foreground a bit distracting. 2 is my next choice...I like the addition of the brick to the textures of the leather and the lace. (Great dress for these shots, btw!)

#2 really stands out for me. I also like #5. If you want to submit the latter, I'd consider cropping just enough off the bottom to get rid of the dark spot in the foreground. mwink.gif

Wow! Thanks everyone for the warm welcome and the kind comments. I'm honored to receive such positive feedback from a truly talented group of artists. It looks like #5 is the stand-out. I'll work on that dark spot...it was a leaf that was a non-issue until I converted to monotone. Thanks for the suggestions. The hair in the face is something my 14 year old niece seems to think makes her more - I don't know- mysterious?ne_nau.gif hmmmm....teenagers.....

I like most all of them, but # 4 is my fav for this theme. I think lace then leather, + plus the pose is good. Some of the others I don't get a lace-leather feel as much.

    IMO (nit picking)
I disagree with some of the others about #5. I do like the DOF and the angle it was shot, everything composition related is good but the pose could be better. The main thing is the hard line your models arm makes + the hard light on the top of her shoulder draws too much attention. This would look better if your model had turned her shoulders slightly toward the camera and arched her back a little. This would feel really awkward but look good on flat paper(or monitor). :)

The posing in all the others was great.

Thanks for the feedback. #4 was one of my favorites too. I thought the lace stood out nicely against her back... but it wasn't getting any attention from anyone else, so......ne_nau.gif I also wondered if, for the theme, the tighter shots of the boots and the bottom of the dress didn't work better? headscratch.gif Maybe I'll flip a coin. :D
