Check this out. S2000 f2.8 ISO 5000. This was a JPEG with the in camera NR on normal. SOC no adjustments at all. As long as I don't need to crop, it works. As soon as I start cropping, the problems start and the picture starts falling apart. Action needs NR and sharpening to work well. But crop or go to big on the sceen and the trouble starts. In the end though I am happy enough with it. I will just lust after a D3s for a while longer.

Maybe shutter speed 2000? I think this is pretty darn good for that kind of high iso. Once again, it proves that if you expose properly, you CAN use those numbers and get the shot. The problem, of course, is that if one is using high ISO it's often in low-light... which means it's sometimes hard to expose properly no matter what you do !! rolleyes1.gif

Shutter speed 2000. Not sure what you mean by rear of focal field. Do you mean it seems back focused a bit? The dude was right in front of me and I was shooting down at him.

Yep, correct exposure and white balance do wonders. That is stuff that is not fixable when you have tons of noise. Stuff that you can easily fix at iso400 are unfixable at 3200. Stuff just falls apart.

For this I was shooting that high to get my shutter speed up for the fights. I just left it at 5000 for everything. Depending on where they were in the ring the speed went anywhere from 320 up to 4000.

Well, it's a decent Shot!! And now I see, f/2.8, so very little focal field!

S2000...too many cars on the brain!
