Hidden galleries... in the open?

I have a couple of galleries that should be private galleries: the one holding my site files and one that I am keeping files in for my main page. When I see it from "Owner View", it shows 5 galleries: 2 private, and 3 public. When I look at it from "Visitor View", it only shows the 3 galleries I have available for public viewing right now. All this is good... until... I go to my control panel and look at my statistics. There it shows a number of views of BOTH my private galleries. How are people looking at them... and WHO are the people that can get to them? Is there a setting I have that's off? What's the scoop?

The site files gallery is going to have hits from the images in that gallery that are used on your site. The hits don't necessarily mean that the gallery is being visited, but can be that an image in the gallery is being displayed on your site as part of your customization.

Ahhhhhhhh... that makes a lot of sense, actually. I was so perplexed. Thank you.
