Red and purple beauty in the park

Summer is over, at least in the Northern hemisphere. Days are getting shorter, it rains a lot (at least here in Belgium) and the leaves are falling. So, this is mushroom season!
Around where I live (small town between Ghent in Antwerp), You can find lots of red Amanita popping up. What follows is a small collection of pictures, depicting Amanita muscaria in different growth stages, followed by a small surprise. Thee pictures were taken in an oak lane.
