Ectemnius sp. digger wasp

An Ectemnius species digger wasp emerging from it's nest hole in a tree stump. This is the larger of the two Ectemnius wasp species that use the stump as a home. Not sure if it was worried about the recent rain or the paperazzi waiting outside but it seemed to be remarkably nervous about emerging.

No I'm shooting with an MPE-65 lens which goes upto 5:1 mag.
I have seen excellent photos taken using raynox add on diopters though.
