"Easy sharing" - bug?

New SmugMug user here, and a quick search didn't bring anything like this up.
I don't want to offer the ability for my customers to share their photos outside of SmugMug, so I turn off Easy Sharing in the gallery configurations. I save this as a preset, and apply it to every gallery I have.
When I view the gallery, I have the Share button right back in place again. Seems the Easy Sharing toggle doesn't get included in the gallery configuration template, and worse, resets it back if you have turned this off manually.
Am I missing something?
And whats with the "ack - the photographer has turned off links" text when I prevent my customers from being able to download thumbnails of my shots? That makes me look bad ... why not just hide the page if this feature is disabled?

is an example.
I have a template configuration that I've applied - and that configuration was taken when easy share was OFF, and no share button appeared on the gallery.
Once I apply the template, easy share is now ON and I have a share button back again.

I only have one custom quick settings - the "RT2 Photo" one. It was saved when I had Easy Share OFF (and I repeated it a few times to be sure)

That worked, and I was able to bulk apply it too - but I went through that process a couple of times yesterday, and a couple more today - very carefully, because I didn't want to bring it up if I was doing it wrong.
The only thing I can think is that I was saving my profile as RT2 Photo each time - I had assumed it would over write the old profile - is that not the case?
Clearly though, the new profile worked fine - thank you!
