A windy morning on Cavendish Beach, PEI

Hubby, dog and I went to "the Island" for a week's vacation. On the only sunny day, we got up early and headed out to the beach so I could play with sunrise photos. The wind was blowing a gale making it impossible to use a tripod effectively and also to protect the gear from the salt spray. But, we had fun.
Those are 4'+ waves rolling in.
The moon was slowly setting
And so I took a series of shots as the sun rose over the bluff.
Until it finally appeared on the horizon
Then we explored the winding "Lover's Lane" path behind Anne of Green Gables home and the "Haunted Hollow".
The path took us across the Green Gables Golf Course where I discovered a golf ball's eye view...
Hope you enjoyed this brief peek at our "Island" in the gulf. C&C always welcome.:D

Prince Edward Island is one of Canada's provinces - on the east coast between New Brunswick and Nova Scotia. That help?
It's a lovely place and the inspiration for the "Anne of Green Gables" series of books by Lucy Maud Montgomery - which have since been made into theatrical productions and I think there's a movie in the works.
Agriculturally, the Island is famous for it's red sands, MILES of sandy beaches, potatoes and seafood. Regis and Kelly did a week of TV shows from there this past summer.
