Yesterday I bought studio lights, and today I had to test it with my husband, myself and my kitty as models.

I am very happy with the result, and I can`t wait to practise more.

The photos are directly out of camera.

    Thank you!!

I bought a set with three strobes, the brand is called Viscio.
    2 x 800W and 1 x 300W.

Two softboxes and one umberella, and a white background with a stand!

I love it! Can`t wait to take more photos!

Congrats! These look a tiny bit hot on the faces even for a high key look, but you'll refine that as you work with them. Great first outing!

Nice job! I hope I would do so well 24 hours after buying the lights! So far my studio has a big window, a floor lamp, reflectors , a brolly., and a really crappy floor lamp that falls over because it is soo light and top heavy.
Nice looking family, love the cat!

    Thank you all!

I have never worked with studiolights before, so I am a studiolight virgin... (Or actually not anymore)

I agree that the color is off, I will have to work on them in photoshop a bit.

I can`t wait to practise again tonight, and on Sunday I will shoot my first family (paid shoot) in the studio. Scary! Lol.....

I took an online weekend class this summer with Zach Arias, and it was fantastic and inspiring. No I can finally try out what he talked about! bowdown.gif

When you say hot you mean like too much light in the faces? (Sorry my english is terrible)

I am using radio triggers and they works perfectly!
It is not Pocket Wizards, but Viscio got their own brand.

Yes, exactly - too bright. Often that's because the lights were a little too close as well as possibly because they were turned up slightly too high - you'll figure it out as you play with them! thumb.gif
