IE8 and the slideshow

The slideshow on my front page isn't loading in IE8 (confirmed in two locations). I don't see any other reports of this on DGRin, so I guess I'm doing something wrong

Hi,

You have external links set to no in your galleries. They need to be set to yes to use the Most Recent Photos feed. I turned them on in this gallery:

You can see that the slideshow is now pulling the recent photos from that gallery.

The external link setting can be found in a gallery's setting, under the Security & Privacy section.

Hi,

I've now got a public gallery, with external linking allowed, and it's still not playing in IE8.

To be clear - it works fine in Firefox and Chrome on the same Windows 7 PC, and works fine in Safari, Firefox and Chrome on an OSX machine. If I make changes to the slideshow, all of the above browsers and OSs reflect it.

It works on IE8 for me.

Is your flash up-to-date?

*sigh*

IE8 on a 64bit OS has no flash support. My bad!

This is confirmed as working on a non 64bit OS.

My home computer has a 64-bit OS and slideshows work on IE8 on that computer.

There is a 32bit and 64bit version baked in ... guess which one I had a shortcut too and never realized it!
