same here! 10 years ago or so my husband comes trooping into the house saying he saw a mantis a while ago in the yard (he was mowing the lawn and saw it and moved it), but by the time I got out there it was long gone. I'd never seen one in the flesh before and was so bummed that he didn't tell me in time. Still haven't seen one to this day. I like #3 too, but the head detail shot is amazing as well.
