Confusion with new Stats Popularity changes

I've just noticed today that when I scan my galleries to see image hit counts, there are up to three different gallery total counts given. One count if I add up all the hits of active pictures, another if I've deleted pictures from the gallery (it now shows their names and hit counts at time of deletion - very annoying), because it adds those hit counts to the total on active pictures, and sometimes a third different number listed in the list of galleries and their hit counts.

This is driving me crazy. Who cares about the popularity of the pictures that were deleted? Why add those filenames at the bottom of the page? It was okay before this new update. And why can't the counts agree with one another? I am tired of having a gallery, say with 500 actual views, but in Popularity, the gallery lists as having 3000, because I perhaps created a new gallery and moved 2500 hits' worth of images there. The counts should migrate to the new site and be subtracted from the old. Just seems like common sense.

Has anybody else noticed this happen to their site within the last couple of days? If so, what is your reaction? Otherwise, I think Smugmug has done a great job.
