Whitefaced Ducks

or Whitefaced Whistling Ducks as they used to be known.

Very pretty birds, but difficult to expose right because of the dark body and white head.

All taken with a Bigma at a bird sanctuary close to where I live.

    Beautiful pictures of a duck that I've never seen before. I particularly like the second-last image. I think they were watching you.

    a good duck for pictures Al like the wood duck or mandarin nice colors

    I found the artifacts were caused by me somehow pressing ctrl+ (zoom-in) in Firefox. The problem was only on Dgrin

    Thanks Lindiwe! I should put up another of the sequence of the last shot - the front bird was actually twisting its head listening to the shutter :D
