Got some nice shots at the game today. Sadly our team lost, but was still an enjoyable game.

shot 1 has great timing but the framing really hurts it - pushed to the left of the frame with dead space behind and fingers cut off. But still the best of the bunch.
shot 2 - too loosely framed with the guy in the background as a big distraction. Also cut off the player's foot - have to be careful about cutting off feet.
shot 3 - nice tight framing. But the shot is underexposed and appears to be back-focused (trailing player is in better focus than ball carrier). Foot has been cut off.
shot 4 - I like it. Just a bit overexposed - easily fixed in post processing.
shot 5 - nice and tight and great expression. Unfortunately it appears front-focused (blocker on right is sharper) - also probably hurt by being over-cropped. Try using less of a crop on the shot - it's a great idea but focus/detail didn't quite hold up to the crop.

All in all, if you're just starting out shooting football you're doing some good things. But watch over-cropping, watch cutting off feet and be a little more critical of focus accuracy. Although I suspect that's going to be a limitation of the lens you're using. Keep at it and you'll get better every time out!
