Very nice shots. I am curious, do you have any filters on? Such as circular polarizer or UV filters? Just trying to learn....

    Thank you! thumb.gif
Filters: UV - maybe, but it doesn't affect anything. And for shooting directly towards the sun CP wouldn't do much.

So I've read Minnaert on the green flash, but haven't actually attempted to go out there and capture the green flash. It's my understanding that you have to have a pretty unobstructed view of the horizon to capture this? (and that the ability to scale in altitude helps) Any tips or suggestions you wouldn't mind sharing from this outing?

Absolutely amazing work and such a well composed shot with the green flash in it. Considering the length of time that's visible, congrats are definitely in order. thumb.gif

    Karl, thanks!
Yes, you need a sun low. I've seen pictures of GF taken even in the urban environment above the roofs, but in general the lower sun is and the higher your vantage point is the better your chances are. You also need fairly particular atmospheric conditions. My understanding is that in general you need either sea/ocean or a desert floor, plus zero haze.
