I haven't had time to work on this challenge. Today I was out at a Fall Festival and ran across a couple of options. I personally don't care for the doll. The lace isn't strong enough for me.

Any comments appreciated. :) Thanks!

I agree with you about the Doll. More Tull than Lace!

The MC is nice, Consider trying a B&W version and any other crops you have?

I really like the bike - beautiful detail in the saddle bags & seat. Nice angle of view to accentuate them. & I'm gonna go against the grain, but I really like the brown/sepia tone - the way it's picked up in the chrome is fabulous. Very rich color - & I like the bright white against it. You might want to touch up the lower left hand corner - looks to be a little shadow on the sidewall, would look a little cleaner without that. I also like the use of the star filter - subtle but nice.

I added a B&W version of the motorcycle that also shows more of the bike. With that crop though, I feel like the leather has been lost. I'm not sure about B&W either because it is so hard to getting the tooled leather to really show up well.

Crop in closer? B&W or Sepia? I have no clue right now what would be best.
    Suggestions?

If you crop the first shot right in front of the gas tank & just below the saddle bags (maybe under the star on the exhaust pipe), you'd remove some distractions & the shot would focus more on the leather parts. I agree that you lose some leather detail in the b/w shot, and I still think the treatment on that first shot is beautiful - might be a little stronger than most others, but it works well for this shot. I'd be afraid that desaturating might flatten the image. Besides, when I think of bike leather, soft & mellow just doesn't fit.

I get what you mean about the tone....hard to figure out other than curves.

For me this reminds me of why I try and take many angles just to see what I like when I get home. If this is what you have, then it is what you have. Go with it, as best you can! Which so far looks like Sepia toned!thumb.gif

    uhh...nother thought...try a bump-map layer.

I do the same way and take shots from all angles... and that was the one I felt worked best.
Here are a couple of new angles ones:

I played with the first one a bit in GIMP (I do not have PS) and came up with these.

Of the last series, I like the 3rd one the best. I like the stars on the chrome in addition to the leather and the leather is more evenly lit.

This is obviously someone who likes leather!
