The Baker Hotel in Mineral Wells, TX. Mineral Wells was in its heyday in the '20's and '30's as a top spa destination. The Baker Hotel opened in 1929 and was a luxury hotel with many amenities. She closed permanently in 1972, although rumor has it an investment group has purchased the property with an intent to restore her to her former glory.

Interesting Shots, don't normally see the Baker Hotel
brought up on Photo Forums.
Neat shots in you gallery, I do hope they go through with the
Renovations, it really has a rich and vibrant History at it's
Pinnacle.
Very nicely done.

Howdy Tracker,
I'd seen where they were talking about a 52 Million Dollar Renovation,
and 2.2 for the property that's sat vacant for 30 yrs or so.
It would be a really neat destination for folks, would really put a lot of
needed capital in that area.
If you have an opportunity to go back there is a really neat vantage point to get a view from up high, about a mile away up on top of the Hill.

It was a bummer day, sky-wise but in hindsight, it just added to the sadness of the lady. I usually hate telephone lines, too, but in this case I think it might add to be beat down, sad effect. Course, I could be wrong, too.
To me phone lines in a photo are a photographers choice
Glad you had a bummer sky ... it added to it
