Vocal cord cyst

Much of my photography is medical. I didn't know if anyone would be interested.
This a picture of a hemorrhagic cyst on the left vocal cord. It came out nicely, and she should be singing again in 6-8 weeks.

    That is a specialty field. My husband did it in the navy, many years ago. I am sure things have changed since then.

    I remember when I was in school in the '80s, they were talking about medical drawings/artists. That is also a field to go into.

    Nice photo! Do you do it for a hospital or what?

    Ginger,

    I'm an ear, nose, and throat doc. One of the interesting thing about my specialty is the ability to take some unusual photos with endoscopic cameras. This picture of the larynx was taken in the operating room with the patient under anesthesia three days ago. The photo is taken through a rigid endoscope using a 3 chip video camera with still capture capability. Surgery is performed using a microscopically guided CO2 laser.
