It's baby bird time...
...here on the bottom of the world.
I don't know if my photography has improved any since I joined this wonderful forum, but one thing is certain - I'm noticing things that I would've walked right past only a year ago. And of course, once noticed, photography must be attempted. So here are my first ever baby bird pictures.
Baby Noisy Miners:
Mom or Dad Miner was approaching with food:
How do you all deal with twigs, etc., that get in the way, without disturbing the birds?
So, having tried the baby bird photography once, I had to try it again... This time it is Purple Swamp Hens, with reeds making the shots difficult.
Suggestions and comments are very welcome!

Thanks for taking the time to look, and your kind comment! I see such amazing pictures posted here, I feel a little like I'm trying to hang kindergarten scribblings in an art gallery. Not to mention learning a whole new language...
Interesting to see your mynahs nesting in trees. Here (where they are unwanted aliens), they usually nest in roofs, making a real mess.

We have unwanted mynahs around here too - an introduced species that is aggressive, and competes with the locals for nesting sites. I wonder if the mynah you get is the same we don't want here? (Common Myna - Acridotheres tristis)
The babies posted above are the offspring of the Noisy Miner - Manorina melanocephala. They are also aggressive and territorial and not particularly popular. Here's an adult:
Cool shots!
Yip, same bird - called the Indian Mynah here. Just as unwanted too.
