Hi Guys and Gals,
So, how much sharpening do you need to apply to an image (specifically a portrait or fashion/beauty shot) for the print to look sharp and not soft ? I know this is one of those "How long is a string questions" but its been bugging me quiet badly lately, esp after retouching a headshot that looked just fine on screen sharpness-wise but it was soft as anything when printed out as an 8 x 10. I don;t go over the tope when sharpening - just 40% and rad 1 within LR3 and thats usually just it unless the pic needs a bit ore retouching then I apply the sharepning in CS. Any tips and pointers to this would be just great!
Cheers Harj

FWIW, this old article was the design concepts used in Lightroom for capture (in Develop) and output (in Print) modules.
