Help Me Decide Between Colour & Black & White

Hi,

I took some shots of a model/actress here in NYC this weekend. Finished it all up and have a colour and a black white version and cannot decide which I like more. I don't have to choose one per se but just wanted to get your opinions on which you prefer.

Whilst you are taking a look, feel free to critique away!

Thanks!

they both work. I can't really say which one I prefer. I do think you could sharpen them up just a touch.

    B&W for me also, absolutely.

...but I do have to say that the color of her skin is beautiful in the first shot. If these are for a portfolio and you have additional shots from the session that turned out this well, she should choose a mix of B&W and color.

Thanks everyone. I have already sharpened them up but may sharpen them a little more and see how it works out.

Color for me. I like the skin tones. Pose isn't quite working for me though. Too much elbow.

That made me laugh as I have another shot with a little less elbow and thought it looked cut off so included the whole elbow! :)

In the B&W shot her pants get lost (wait that didn't sound rightmwink.gif) I mean they blend into the back ground too much and it makes her elbows appear to be floating-especially the right one. I like the moodiness of the B&W but her skin tone is so nice in the colour shot and that pulled me in.

I like the B&W a lot too, but her skin looks a little too over processed, almost like an oil painting? That's my only opinion, but if that's the look you were going for then good job! hehe :-)

Wow, these are both great but the B&W does it for me.
On a side note her skin does look over-processed especially at the bridge of her nose,
