i am fairly new to dgrin forums. i have asked a few question here and there. Everyone who has replied to my newbie questions has been just great, helpful and understanding. i just met one of these folks in real life, well on the phone.
It is so wonderful when a person is willing to spend their valuable time helping a beginner. Critiquing my shots, giving suggestions to help me improve. I am not sure what time the phone call started but i hung up at 1:15. it had to be at least one to two hours that we talked. could have been longer?
He was completly understanding as my dog barked and my 3 y.o. son ran screaming across the living room. At times the background noice was VERY loud. Most people would have said "i gotta go" and then would have hung up thinking "what a crazy woman this lady is with her wild kid and psycho dog"!
So with that said,
THANKS SAM for all you time and help!!!!
I really appreciate it!!!!

between school and club, i will have 7-8 games to fool around with before the end of the weekend, if it doesn't rain.

So true! Last fall I had a chance to meet some fellow DGrinners at the Shootout in Maine and it was a terrific experience. I'm new to landscape photography and everyone was incredibly helpful! (Not to mention prying me up of the ground when my arthritic knees wouldn't work in the cold, damp fog)
