Otters taking a sand bath

Today I was following HarryB down a dike road in the Viera Wetlands. He passed the pool where a couple of Otters have been hanging out, and when he had traveled about 100' past that pool, these two came up to the road behind him for a little sand bath. Rolling in the sand helps keep their fur dry, and helps in getting rid of parasites.

Looks to me like you made the most of an awesome opportunity, here!
I love #5. The otter in that one just looks totally blissed out. Love the sheen on the fur, as well. thumb.gif
