Create new galleries sort order based on a gallery "Date Taken" attribute

Please expand gallery sort options so that one could sort galleries not only by name, "Date Created" and "Date Modified". It would be nice to have option sort by galleries by "Date Taken", where the gallery attribute "Date Taken" is the "Date Taken" of the latest or the oldest image in the gallery.

    That option is available in your "Gallery Settings" page. There are several sort options plus you can choose ascending or descending order.

    I don't want to sort images in a gallery, I want to sort galleries in a category or on my homepage. Existing options how to sort galleries based on time are sofar only options "Date Created" or "Date Updated" and thats useless for me. I solve this situation by prefixing a gallery name by date in ISO format e.g. "2010-08-20 Gallery Name" and then I can sort galleries with sort option "Name order" but I feel that this is not good...
