Wonderful shot - like the pose and composition. What was the lens - a 70-300 in macro mode ?

Yup. 70-300 in macro. I had to sharpen in CS3 cus that lens can't be sharp to save it's life (and I can't use manual focus to save mine lol)

Yes - I tried to start doing macro with a sigma 70-300 lens and found it nearly impossible. Funnily enough it's a lot sharper and easier to use if you use a set of extension tubes with the lens at 70mm.
