Some of you folks may have heard murmurs of a possible collaborative shoot a while back. The stars managed to align, and on a late Sunday afternoon, divamum descended upon my home laden with light modifiers, props, and costumes.

Fun was had by all. My selects are below.

Ok, since the iron is hot, I'll add my versions, including the one we're actually using for the promo I went nuts with processing on these (with Llywellyn's permission, of course) - they are WAY OTT, but I sure had fun with them. There are a couple of others I really liked too (she sure knows how to rock it with the ringlight!), I simply haven't had a chance to work on them.

Most importantly, we had a BLAST - I swear we did nothing but laugh while we were shooting (yes, L, 24mm IS right in the subject's face ) and solve the problems of the artistic world as we waited for the files to burn to disk I wish we lived closer so we could do this more often!! It really was fun.


I love this, but decided it might scare the audience away...

And Diva... I think you have the nicest lips for this sort of shoot. Very coquettish... yet proper. Monalisa-esque.

Ha! No. I was much too sneaky for that.

The only other subject that made it in front of the camera was Sketch, who made himself at home amid diva's prop pile.

Kerry, you have NO IDEA how hard I tried to make the one of him in my lap work for the promo, but it just wouldn't, even when I tried combining shots etc . Darnit!!

I know you did, John. By the time we got the date nailed down it was, like, the day before, since both of our schedules were batso crazy - it seemed too late to impose on somebody else when I could barely get my logistical act together! But maybe this gives us all an excuse for a rematch at some point?!??

So sorry! It wasn't intentional. As diva said, we decided sort of last minute on a day and time. In the rush, I completely forgot about your offer until things had settled down again after the shoot. A future collaboration must commence!

Hee, thanks so much you guys! I did remember to take a lighting setup shot at one point--it was unconventional and odd, partly due to my laziness in switching things around when I added a third light. Remind me tomorrow and I'll post it up in case it proves helpful to anyone.

Might I also point out that, as always, Kerry's processing is superb. She made this tired face look that good - no small achievement!

ETA: Unconventional? I dunno. Doesn't everybody use a black cat as a possible light flag?! :giggle
