We've been to Acadia half a dozen times or so over the past 25 years. Always in the fall. And we've loved it every time. We just spent three days there and it was more crowded than we've ever seen it. At first we were kind of bummed out. But as the saying goes, we made lomonade out of lemons. We simply explored some less traveled trails which led us to find a few gems
We followed a tiny little creek into the woods a little way from where it crossed a fairly heavily used portion of the carriage roads and found a couple of small falls.
Here's one of Jordan Stream.
One evening it was shaping up to be a pretty decent sunset. So we drove over to Seal Harbor to capture the lighthouse with a sunset BG. Unfortunately, the parking lot was overflowing. People were lined up like seagulls on the rocks in the typical place to shoot from. The tide was fairly high and I literally could not find a place to set up with a clear shot of the lighthouse. So I just did a 180 and came away with this :dunno
Besides, I got the other view last time we were there :rolleyes
