Went to an introductory Brazilian Jiu Jitsu class this weekend. Thought I'd share a few photos I took. Please share your thoughts. Thanks!

    Hi Karen,
    I like these documentary shots.
I particularly got a kick out of the last shot, looks like a great football tackle.

    Yes- great shots.

That move (from Judo) is a basic throw called ouchi gari:

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu "borrows" lot's of throws and submission techniques from Judo.

Love the angle and synchrony in #3.

The processing on these are a little on the dark/flat side. It might use some more brightness, even though the white t's blow out a little.

I gotta go with #3 as well. If you don't know anything about martial arts, it looks like you have an 8 hear old just laying out a grown man. Very cool shot, misterb!

Thanks misterb, I learned alot from this one day demo. They had another one earlier for the adults which I participated in!

Thanks rainbow, agreed, the lighting in here was terrible, and I had my ISO bumped up pretty high, not sure I can do much better with these.

On windows photo gallery, I just made the shot brighter using the exposure adjuster:
