On this forum, I mean. hehe. Maybe we can convince Julia to join us here..
Ahh! That would be awesome.
Seriously though...that is a CUTE dress!
But seriously, that is one hilarious blog. LOVE the satire.
"Timing is everything. It all started when Jay Davis shot my wedding. He noticed my raw potential as a Hollywood typecast for the latest celebrity idolization trend. "
Names have been barely changed to protect the innocent, I see!
Got my entry in!
Now the rest of you should join me in the fun! Ooonly 2 more days to enter!
I even entered, and I never enter anything...well, almost never.
I have one question about how the entries are judged. Do the judges look at the entry as it appears on the gallery page, or do they enlarge them as like when you pull out the flyout on the righthand side, in order to get a better view? Just wondering.
Remember, no one may want you to take pictures, but they all want to see them. Educate yourself like you'll live forever and live like you'll die tomorrow.
I don't believe there are any rules or guidelines for judging. The winner of the last round (Urbanaries) gets to pick their top three and that is pretty much it.

Thanks Heather...Urbanaries is more than worthy...lol...

I haven't entered a challenge for a long time since I never have time to get a picture during the "enrollment" period. Since the rules here state that the picture could have been from any time...Well..I entered two of them.

This was INCREDIBLY difficult as there were so many very creative takes on the "traditional" bridal photo.
A word about my winning selection from Matt Saville:
Bridal portraits are rarely so emotive. The regal pose contrasts with the ordinary textures and objects of the room. Love the details like the back-lit tassels and spinning fan. What a tricky shot to compose! Beautiful.

So Matt! It's up to you to choose the next theme!!!
I'm tempted to do the exact opposite- GROOMS! But, I dunno, maybe nobody would enter?
=Matt=
Oohh, but what about GroomsMEN!? I've seen some pretty creative shots here! Someone's shot with baseball bats comes to mind. Not to piggyback on your piggyback, but hey.

I think instead of full-length, it would have to be half- since they're mostly not dressed by the time I get there. How about "the best underwear shot"?? Kiiiiiding! I am pretty sure we all have at least ONE nice shot of the man of the day, right??

Congratulations everyone! All the shots were great. By the way, you guys all crack me up!

Urbanaries: I think this is one of the most memorable photos that you have ever done. I tell my couples about it all the time, especially when their colors are pink! rofl Payback for making them wear pink!
Congratulations to the winners...deservedly so, I might add...well chosen.
Looking forward to the next contest...don't know if I'll have anything Worthy of entering,...but love seeing the entries.
Worthy this and worthy that...I must be on a worthy kick...lol...but it does seem to fit my thoughts...
