Sorry for the short notice, but this will be a quick outage. We will be down for 5-10 min at 1730 PDT today.

    This work has been completed.

    Because of the type of work, you might notice some slowness. This is because various caches, etc. need to be rebuilt. Should resolve itself in just a short time.

    I would think it would be nice in this situation, quick outage, for a small popup notifying
    forum viewers. I can't imagine anyone seeing his thread.

    Sorry, it was an urgent change with a very short window. Most users likely did not notice.

    But you're right, a pop-up would have been useful for those who were logged in.
