Unique view of a tiny spider ?

Spotted what I thought was a red spider mite eating something on a grass blade when I was doing some dewdrop refraction shots. Shows how bad my eyes are- turned out to be a small sac spider around 2.6mm long. After taking some shots of it , wondered if i could get a refraction shot of it in a dewdrop. No dewdrops near it of course so I tried moving a grass blade with a dewdrop - no go they fall off at the slightest touch, so i tried the reverse of moving the spider near a dewdrop. Success - first time I've managed to get a recognisable bug in a dewdrop refraction!- last 2 shots taken at 4:1 and 5:1 mag FF.

Edit: Forgot to mention, 2nd shot is my favorite. The detail/lighting is stellar.

setup as in shot below without the blue bit and extra lens.

Extraordinary photos can not be had standing where everyone else is standing, looking where everyone else is looking
Thanks for the info Brian! Going to start looking into an inexpensive first setup for my D90(just to get my feet wet). Still learning about Macro/Micro and reversing lens onto one another.
Again, thank you for the reply. All the best!

Is that diffuser still your coke can model?
Bugs
Spiders
Flowers
Yes still using the coke can diffuser but with slightly different diffusing elements in it. Has a sheet of LCD light dispersion film directly on the flash head, a sheet of LCD light diffuser on the end of the diffuser with a layer of kitchen towel - I just like playing
