dgrin challenge 47 is here. it will run from monday, september 5th at 12:00:01 a.m. nyc time, through monday, september 19th at noon nyc time. the guest judge for the challenge will be the winner of challenge 46, as determined by the voters.

remember, in order for everyone to benefit, you should be commenting and critiquing for others as much as you expect to get for yourself. you've got to give to get!

the challenge 47 theme is "self-portraits." yep - time to get out the tripod, remote release (or self-timer), find or make some excellent light, get into a really cool pose and scene, and make yourself your own worst enemy. it's not easy, i know - and this is the point - to challenge ourselves, technically and artistically!

this thread, is the one into which you post your challenge entry, and remember, one entry per person, and the photo must be fresh, taken during the challenge period. you must post the date the photograph was taken or it will be deemed ineligible.

all of the rules of the dgrin photo challenges apply, please read them!.

***challenge 47 will close to entries on monday, september 19th, 2005 at 12 noon nyc time***

enjoy (challenge) photography,

    all about being 9
My son is now my partner in graphical crime. He took the camera away from me this weekend and shot his first digital roll. I was napping and this is what he did:

    Man on the Moon
I was looking at all the wonderful entries and was gettting a strong feeling that my original "bar mirror shot" will fall far below the radars.

So I noticed that it is a full moon...

    Me at my brother's wedding
I took that picture saturday september 10 during my brother's wedding, where i was the photograph and one of the best men, with a Canon Rebel EOS XT. I really love the result with the table of honor in the back.

Nothing like a freshly buffed Infiniti
I used my PowerShot S410 for this one, it is alot easier to aim at your self.
The reflection is from the fender of an Infiniti I35 I had just buffed.
This is my first challenge I hope everyone likes it.

Trapped: self portrait by ginger (9/13/2005)
    36109391-L.jpg

Nine self portraits all put together as a matter of fact. No PS, not proud of it, but true, just cropped to fit. No makeup, nothing. A very RAW self portrait of the end of a very bad week.
