M8/M20 Greyhound? (can't tell if it has a gun on top)
Nice shot, yet I find the background (plane, chain link, car) to be out of context. I might have tried to shoot from more of the ground up to try and eliminate that. The slight blur to focal point gives it some authenticity in my opinion.
Still, cool to see the old WWII hardware, grease gun and period correct uniform. Yeah, I love that stuff.
My opinion is similar to M38A1's. If it wasn't for the background, I'd swear it was taken right from a battle line. I do like the shot, it's really cool. The background just takes away from it, in my opinion. But going with a different angle may take away from the shot, too. All that said, I probably wouldn't have done it any differently than you.
Thanks for the crits/comments guys and gals. For the background, there wasn't much I could do as it was taken airside at Republic Airport during their Labor Day festivities. Homestly, I like the contrast shown between time periods myself, but I do see where you are coming from. Bob, I'm doing five finger shots of cough medicine myself. Damned flu shot. Feel better man!

Great shot.. my old dept was at the range today- so I was gonna go and shoot (the camera!) but I have a real nasty cold.. off to Nyquil-Land!
It's not just the vintage uniform and weapon etc. but the look you captured on his face, the lean of his body. Right out of a movie.
