Wanted to ask the board for opinions on a soccer shot that I converted. Any CC is welcome.

The shot is a wonderful capture, but the processing may not do it justice.

It looks slightly "flat" to me. This is likely from trying to not blow out the white on the jersey, but at the expense of darkening and reducing the contrast on the remaining 90% of the shot. Did you set the "white and black" points in the conversion?

I worked your color in PSE7 for about 3 minutes:

I boosted the green slider and decreased the blue one in the "Scenic Landscape" mode on the B&W converter. Then I brought up the "Shadows" in the Shadows/Highlight slider. This is a low res copy (about 135K, so it loses much of the sharpness but looked better on my PC before decreasing the res to be able to attach it here).

Hope this helps. I have deleted it from my PC.
