Experts at SMUGMUG - viewing style

Firstly, Smugmug is excellent, I am very happy with it.
Secondly, I want to see if a couple of improvements (at least for me) could be made. Maybe there is a way of doing this already, but I am too stupid to know what to do!
In the STYLE you can view photo galleries in smugmug, elegant, traditional, all thumbs, journal and slideshow.
My preferred style is smugmug (where the thumbnails are shown to the left of a the main picture).
I have two questions.
1. I was wondering, is it possible to have a view, similar to smugmug view, but where the thumbnails are BELOW the main picture. the reason i ask this is that i don't like how wide the page is when I have the thumbnails BESIDE the main picture (but i like the way the view works)
2. When you click on a thumbnail, is it possible to have it so the whole page does NOT load again, but just the main picture frame. I have seen this on other picture sites, and it looks smoother.
