It's been some time since I shot a wedding and I was kind of rusty. The venue was this awesome plantation house outside of Houston, and it was beautifully lit by the sunset.

As always, I'm ever thankful for the opportunity to second shoot.

Here's the link to the images on my blog (as I'm not permitted to post images outside it); please take a look and tell me what you think:

It looks like they had a fabulous party. You captured the emotion of the day very well.
The oof pic with (I assume) the mother in the corner is a cracker!

    Nice, bright, and clean!

What is with that extra leg in the shot where the guy goes for the garter?

Gorgeous work! Images to be very, very proud of. The emotion in the ceremony kiss shots stands out, and that firecracker shot... plus many more.

Thanks, guys! I appreciate your super kind words, here and on my blog <3<3<3

I had just bought a 5D classic some weeks before (to go with my 5D2) and I was doing the double camera thing witha full shootsac. Man, my shoulders were in {{pain}} by the end of the 8 hour day. I couldn't lift my right arm for two days =/ Well, won't be doing that again. One camera on the shoulder (one left in the bag) and the shootsac seemed to work for me.

Also, I noticed there was a rustiness to the colors from the 5D classic. I'm not sure how I like the effect.

PS. Ted, that leg! There were limbs everywhere but I agree about the conspicuousness of that leg in the frame.

PPS. Paul, yes, the lady is the bride's mother! And the party was AWESOME. The bride is a cheerleader for one of the sports teams here, and her friends and team mates were tearing up the dance floor with some awesome dancing :)

The groom in the garter shot is a keeper one of those shots that can't be staged and is a great capture. Nice shooting.

I love how you used the sparkler send off-cool instant lighting effect.
