    Hi Scott,

    You got yourself some nice shots of a beautiful plane. I passed up an opportunity to go up in one of these not long ago. As opposed to this one, the one I would have flown in looked like it just came off of an old muddy Soviet field. I wasn't about to fly in it.

    Great plane for that time.... it was the trainer aircraft for Warsaw Pact. Russians (and others) bought about 3,000 of them..here is the story.

    Great series of shots! The L-39 is a neat little airplane - the museum I hang at has a pair of them, so I get to see them in action all the time.
