Hi all,
This was my second year shooting this parade.
It takes place in NYC on 5th Avenue for a 30 block stretch.
All shot with my olympus E620 and kit lens.
The day was bright BRIGHT BRIGHT no clouds. It was a challenge.

also I posted some in street/pj of the pre parade here (actually my favorite shots of the day)

YEP 5 made me stop and really give it a go over, such energy captured in that shot, awesome. Great job on all and nice work on the colors and PP.

I asked my husband the same thing!
Cuba is hardly ever represented, they are usually the only ones missing.
There was a float playing some kickin Cuban music though which got everybody going. But that's it. No guayaberas, no dancers. I don't get it. Bolivia had group after group which is what I concentrated on being Bolivian, but nothing for Cuba.

I so badly wanted flash fill, but I made do with no flash at all.
There were times when I wanted to kick something when I was processing some shots that were just too dark/bright. Glad I got some keepers though. Thank you.

    Thank you Trudy,
That shot is one of my favorites of the day, aside from the pre parade shots.
