A few hockey images

Here are a few hockey images, I have been super busy finishing up the wedding season, and have only shot a few games, but it is good to be back at the arenas. Ah yes, they are not color..they are gritty, dark, raw, and if you scratch them, they reek like my 10 year old hockey gear bag and crusty gloves......

Very cool, I like the style, a different take on things to the run of the mill.

How did you PP to get this?

I'm here to learn so please feel free to give me constructive criticism to help me become the photographer I desire to be.

Very nice pics. I really like the processing. I also like that they are hockey action shots, but not the typical ones that you see all the places like a cliche. The fourth one is my favorite, the framing on some of the pictures is making it hard to understand the context. I do like that you got the grit of minor league hockey and how it is not all skating all the time.

Beautiful job. I love the one with the goalie jumping, incredible capture, please keep posting. Any chance this is a 300 2.8? Very tight shot, doesn't look cropped.

Beautiful shots. Love the look clap.gif

Hockey, 300 f/2.8 - reminds me Elsa Hasch, a fellow shooter at the MU student newspaper. She had a Nikon F3 (that's right a F3) with a nasty dent in the front of the viewfinder. Hockey puck hit it. Inch or so lower it would have gone down the barrel of her 300 f/2.8, inch or two higher it would have dented her scull.
