Hi guys,

Thought I'd share a few image of a recent visit to a lesser-known corner of North America. I was up in the Northwest Territories recently for a few days. Beautiful part of Canada. Thanks for looking!

Dam! They're all great but 1 and 3 are a couple of the best I've seen this year.

very impressive set. I'm just awed by #1, I love the perspective that the figure gives to the size of the falls. Every other one is excellent too, they all make me wish I were there.

A Journey is as much about the story as it is the pictures.

Well, it's a trip I won through a contest. Good thing since the area is rather expensive for visitors, mainly due to long distances and isolation. We were only there for 10 days or so but NWT Tourism had put together a great itinerary for us, which allowed us to get a good idea of what that part of the country looks like. The NWT are huge and we only stuck to the southern portion. Would absolutely love to go back to explore the tundra and high arctic remoteness. The aurora was definitely the highlight for me, as those I had seen back home in the Canadian Rockies did not even close to what they have up there. I believe the lights are technically visible 2 nights out of 3 in the Yellowknife area. I wrote a brief blog entry about the trip here: http://paulzizkaphotography.blogspot.com/ Thanks for reading and for your comments!
