Scotland
Hi everyone, this is my first post here. After spending a while customising my smugmug page, I thought it was about time to post some photos of a recent trip to Scotland. As you can see, we got some great weather. I never expected Scotland to be so colourful! My boyfriend can't believe I used this trip as an excuse to buy a new jacket.
We started in Edinburgh and did the usual activities such as Edinburgh Castle and a dungeon tour.
1. Edinburgh Street Corner
2. National Monument - unfortunatley, it was impossible to get a shot of the National Monument without people all over it. For those not familiar with Scotland, I understand that the Scotish Government ran out of money and never finished building the monument.
3. A beautiful sunset over an Edinburgh Sunset
4. After a couple of days in Edinburgh we drove up to the Scottish highlands. Again, stunning scenery and great weather. The photo below is of Stirling Castle.
5. Once we got to the highlands we drove around some of the lochs and enjoyed some of the local brews
.
6. Another amazing sunset although I had to stop my boyfriend from skimming rocks over the water and wrecking the still water in the photo below.
7.We saw plenty of postcards of highland cattle but were glad to finally see a few in person
8. Loch leven sunset, our B&B was just to the right of the photo below,
9. On the drive back home, we stopped at the tiny coastal village of Bellantrae and I found this great little boat.
