Creating a watermark in Photoshop Elements 7

I need help creating a watermark in Photoshop Elements 7. I have used the watermark from smugmug for my pictures but I want my own 'brand'.

I can't afford to buy new software yet (just bought a new camera, etc...husband still doesn't know the total) so need to just figure out how to use what I have. Any suggestions? Or is there anyone who I can pay? I have a lot of people "borrowing" my pictures and I would at least like credit!

I can't help with Photoshop Elements, but...

Here's a link to a tutorial on creating a watermark in Photoshop - http://dgrin.smugmug.com/gallery/1690196. I was able to use these instructions to guide me in creating a watermark in gimp. You could attempt to do the same in Photoshop Elements, or you could download a (free) copy of gimp and try there.
