Had a vision

Last night I was walking around my apartment complex with the trusty D90/18-70mm combo when I stumbled upon the rare, as of late, cigarette butt laying on a flight of steps. Suddenly I had a vision. I took off my shoes and positioned them in a way that may tell a story. What resulted was this:

Before I pat myself on the back I'd like some criticism. Lay it on me, I can take it.

    Gone missing.
    Last smoke before I go up yonder.
    Theres my shoes.
    Stepping out.

    Scene inundated with cigarette butts all over the steps.
    Butt stomping shoes.
    Took my life.
    I'll miss him.

    Hmmm. :D Thats it.

    I don't know about the story, but I like the composition.
