I am on the 14 day trial thinking about a pro acct and have a couple of questions. when i edit photos in picassa that are cropped tight not to a 4x6 5x7 and import to smugmug will they print as the whole image? How does one get paid for sales Thanks

    Hi, and welcome to SmugMug! One thing to keep in mind is that different print sizes will require different cropping. The photos from your camera are likely in a standard 2:3 aspect ratio, which is perfect for many print sizes (4x6, 8x12, 12x18, 20x30, etc) without any cropping. However, other sizes (5x7, 8x10, 11x14, 16x20, etc) will require cropping when printed, as these print sizes are more square. So, it's usually best to leave your photos uncropped when uploading to SmugMug, and cropping can be done in the shopping cart when your customer places an order:

    With a pro account, you can also turn on our Proof Delay feature in your galleries, so that you have an opportunity to review your customer orders before they are sent off to the lab to be printed. You can make adjustments to the cropping at this time, or even upload a replacement photo:
