    Denise, this is a wonderful series! I remember our discussion about gray v. blue skies when we were walking about in Maine. I can't imagine better skies for the images you made--so dynamic and they really make the subjects stand out. I especially love the last shot, simply stunning! If you want someone to carry your tripod next trip, call me!!

    The skies were pretty amazing. It's funny, my B&B host from the first two nights told me that the summer was full of blue skies; the rain returned the week I visited. And while I do enjoy blue skies, I find clouds much more interesting than blue. I guess I was lucky to visit when I did.

    Don't you think you'll need to carry your own tripod? Iceland truly seems like a photographer's paradise, one deserving of many visits.

    I agree, bad weather is the best for photography. I often leave my camera at home on sunny days.
