Here are a few from this morning's sessions.

I gather this guy was a local pro having a photo session. First run and
he tagged the camera guy with the nose of the board. Right smack on
the wrist...all's well that ends well I guess.

Check his expression. This was just before he tagged him...

I think this one might be a favorite from today.

One last one. Big guy, nice wave...

    Great pictures!

Have you ever been hassled for taking pictures over the railing? I have only been there once but there were so many people at the railing, and only two people on the other side.

I expect that one day, someone will say something though I've never been bothered.

Thanks Gus. These were taken around 8:30-9:30 in the morning. Saturday AM was a
bust and I almost didn't check the cam in the morning...completely gorgeous early on.

Dunno about that Gus. This place has the Sun rising from the surfer's right side and setting to their left (as they face the camera). Pretty weird for the West Coast. You'd think you'd get nice frontal lighting in the morning and backlit surfers in the afternoon. But nooooooooooo ne_nau.gif

Nice ones Ian thumb.gifthumb.gif Looks like you had some decent riders to shoot. I like that 2nd to last one best also. So where's the pic of the surfer running over the camera dewd? rolleyes1.gif

    Thanks Steve!

He's way out of frame :) I was shooting with the 300 and the collision occurred
at (roughly) my feet. I missed the shot :(

I really like the 3rd one. The luminose (?) quality of the water by his right hand. It looks like liquid jade. And it almost looks like you're shoting the surfer from over head.
