Helllooo!! Recently, I've lurked a bit within DGrin; there is SO much to be gained/learned by doing so.
As we know, there is also much to be gained/learned from C & C. So, I'm choosing to participate as a way
to move forward :ivar I did participate in the Autumnal Colors Mini Challenge which was very enjoyable, yet we understand the difference of pulling from the archives vs. creating to meet the challenge.
Will definitely appreciate your C & C.....thank you!

(Apparently, I am also trying to figure out how to include more than one image?)

    Hi there,
I want to see this more clearly--it's so small I've got my nose up to the screen and still can't tell what it is.
I think from the get to I'll say maybe crop out the windowsill as it's distracting--but other than that I don't really know what I'm looking at--post large.

The first time to compete is a bit frustrating as you are still trying to figure out how to post a photo and the rules so you don't get disqualified. Keep at it, post bigger and read the rules. We all pretty much go through this the first time around. Good luck.

    Welcome to the challenges.

I agree with Liz. Crop out the window. If you have access to the scene again, you might consider straightening the fram on the wall or removing it. The barber pole on the wal in the BG gives your invention some context.

One other thought,fi you are reshooting, try it without the box and come in closer so that it's more obvious that it's an old-fashioned clipper. The simplicity of just the clipper with the barber pole on the wall might be just enough.

Thank you, too, Chris! Is this a better size for photo posting ? Or, bigger?

    LadyKate,
I like the Barber signs in the background to give this context. I agree that it could use a little cropping and straightening. I also think it looks a bit posed/arranged, but am not sure how to make it look less so. How about tossing in a magazine?
