Fall In The White Mountains (Greer)

Spent the weekend in Greer Az, in the white mountains. We were lucky to hit it in peak color. The trees are not birch, but aspens. They do not not turn red like the trees back east, but rather a golden yellow. Contrasted against the green pines, they are quite spectacular.

The aspen shot is great...nice color and comp. I also like the photo of the road with the sunbeams.... guiding the way.

i love aspens.. we don't get many of 'em here, though there are some on the eastern slopes of the Cascades... love that brilliant yellow!

Loved the 1st and 3rd one they are all great pics pretty spot.

Love #1 and 4, Dan. Really enjoy the composition in the first with the centered tree leading into the rest.

Nice series of images, Danny! My favorites are the first and last. The fourth shot is quite nice as well, but I'd prefer if the top of the tree on the right wasn't cut off.

Great shots, Dan! I love all of them. Have to confess that these are not the typical images that come to mind when I think of Arizona. I never realized how lush it is up in the mountains.

Thanks Linda. Nice hearing from you. Yeah, the eco system up in the mountains is dramatically different from the valleys. A nice change from the heat and the desert.:D
