Hi babylue wave.gif welcome to digrin.. I'm wondering if your exposure time is a little slow as it's a little soft.

I was using a diffusion filter on the camera as well. I was kind of going for that dreamy soft look. I have another one exactly like it that I did not use the diffusion filter. when I get home I will convert it to B&W and post it to see what everyone thinks.

1/30s for a shutter speed at 105mm focal length is way too slow.........you will get (and got) all the handshake you can muster. Try increasing the shutterspeed to at least 125 next time......

Is that better? After staring at it a while I tend to like this one better without the diffusion. Here is the original in Color:

    Welcome to Dgrin!

I like the soft, dreamy look of the first one. I suspect that is how you look at your hubby!

Unfortunately, I find the shadows on his face overly distracting. Keep on shooting and posting here.

I can not agree more! hehehe I have TRIED the cloning tool in PS however I can NOT get the cloning right! it is driving me up a WALL! hehehe I LOVE the pic. I LOVE the dreamy look on one hand, but on the other I like the sharp B&W.
When I printed it out, the dreamy look was better, but on the monitor, the sharp B&W looks better! hehehe
    Thanks for the feedback.
